Albanian Canteen - Kallmeti

The Kallmeti canteen was founded in 2006 by the three Gjini brothers in the heart of their hometown, in Kallmet, Lezha.

The focus of the Kallmeti Canteen has been and will undoubtedly remain quality. The wine is produced entirely from the Kallmet grape, cultivated in its area of origin and the surrounding villages. A part is cultivated in the wonderful hills of Bukmira at an altitude of over 500 m above sea level.

Kallmeti is a generally hilly area where the fields of Zadrima and Vela mountain are harmoniously connected. It is located 11 km from the city of Lezha, 18 km from the coast of Shengjin and 55 km from Tirana. It stands out as an area with an early tradition in grape cultivation.

The Kallmet grape is an autochthonous Albanian variety, unique and of high quality for wine production. This grape got its name from the village of Kallmet precisely because of its perfect adaptation to this territory.

In addition to wine, other products of the Kallmeti Canteen are grape brandy and olive oil.
